Use Kaizen with Claude
Connect your Kaizen account to Claude and plan with your real tasks and calendar. Ask what's due, schedule events, reorganize your week or turn a messy list into tasks, and every change shows up in Kaizen right away.

What you need
- A Kaizen account. You sign in with your Kaizen email and password.
- An active Kaizen AI subscription to use Kaizen in Claude. You can connect without it, but when Claude tries to use Kaizen it will tell you that the subscription is needed.
- A Claude account.
Connect Kaizen
- Select Add Kaizen to Claude above. Claude opens the dialog for adding a connector with the name and server address already filled in. To do it by hand, open Customize → Connectors in Claude, add a custom connector named Kaizen and paste
https://app.mykaizen.app/mcp. - Confirm the dialog and choose Connect. A Kaizen sign-in window opens.
- Sign in with your Kaizen email and password. The window closes and Kaizen shows as connected.
- In a chat, make sure Kaizen is turned on in Claude's tools menu, then just ask.
Once Kaizen is listed in Claude's connector directory, you can also find it there by searching for “Kaizen”.
What Claude can do in Kaizen
| Area | Claude can |
|---|---|
| Tasks | List and filter tasks, open a task, create and edit tasks, complete or reopen them, delete tasks |
| Calendar | List events for a date range, open an event, create and edit events (including all-day events and reminders), change many events at once, delete events |
| Folders | List and open folders and shared folder groups, create, edit and delete folders |
| Overview | See your priorities, and your calendars, categories and colors |
| Saved preferences | Read and update the planning preferences you saved in Kaizen |
Claude only acts on Kaizen when you ask it to. By default, it asks you to confirm before it deletes anything or replaces your saved preferences.
Try asking
- “What's on my calendar this week, and which high-priority tasks are due?”
- “Add a task ‘Prepare the Q4 report’ due Friday in my Work folder, high priority.”
- “Move all of tomorrow's meetings one hour later.”
- “Block time this afternoon for my three most important tasks.”
- “Remember that design tasks always take me about two hours.”
Saved preferences
In Kaizen you can write down how you like to plan: how long certain tasks take you, which colors you use, when you prefer meetings. You'll find this text in Kaizen under Settings → Custom AI Instructions. Claude can read it when it helps with your request, and update it when you ask Claude to remember or change something. Saving replaces the whole text, which is why Claude asks before it saves.
Disconnect
- In Claude: open Customize → Connectors, select Kaizen and disconnect or remove it.
- In Kaizen: open Settings → MCP Integration and choose Disconnect AI Access. This ends the connection for every AI assistant connected to your account. You stay signed in to Kaizen on all your devices.
If you don't use Kaizen in Claude for 90 days, Claude asks you to sign in again.
Troubleshooting
Signing in doesn't work
Use the email and password of your Kaizen account. If you forgot your password, reset it from the sign-in screen of the Kaizen app. If no sign-in window appears, allow pop-ups for claude.ai.
Claude says a Kaizen AI subscription is required
Subscribe in the Kaizen app under Settings → AI Subscription. If you just subscribed, open the Kaizen app once so your subscription syncs, then ask Claude again. You don't need to reconnect.
Claude asks you to reconnect
This happens after 90 days without use or after Disconnect AI Access. Choose Connect and sign in again.
You added Kaizen before October 2026
Earlier versions used the address https://kaizen-app.web.app/mcp, which no longer works. Remove that connector in Claude and add Kaizen again with https://app.mykaizen.app/mcp.
Event times look off
Kaizen stores event times in UTC and Claude converts them for you. If times are shifted, tell Claude your time zone, for example “I'm in Berlin”.
Still stuck?
Email support@mykaizen.app with what you asked Claude and the message you saw.
Privacy and security
- Claude gets only the Kaizen data it requests while answering you, such as your tasks for a date range. Kaizen receives the individual requests Claude sends, not your conversation.
- Kaizen data that Claude reads is processed by Anthropic under Anthropic's privacy policy.
- Claude never sees your Kaizen password. Kaizen stores a record of the connection and the access codes Claude uses, the codes only in hashed form.
- Details are in our Privacy Policy, section 6.1.
Other AI apps
The same server address works in other AI apps that support remote MCP connectors with sign-in, such as ChatGPT or Cursor.
